Since its establishment in 1987, air quality compliance and permitting has been one of the cornerstone services provided by West Coast Environmental and Engineering. WCE has developed a strong reputation of excellence with our clients and with agency regulators. Whether you’re looking for a local air permit, a comprehensive operating permit under Title V of the Clean Air Act, or an evaluation of a facility’s air emission impacts, WCE’s staff of Registered Professional Engineers and Certified Permitting Professionals have the experience you need.
Air Permitting

The process of air quality permitting can be one of copious paperwork, detailed emission calculations and regulatory negotiations. The experienced staff of WCE will assist you in obtaining a permit that meets both regulatory requirements and your needs.

Compliance

Expensive regulatory violations often result from not performing simple tasks, such as emissions record keeping. WCE can set up an effective process to ease the burden of air quality regulatory compliance and record keeping.

Air Pollution Control Equipment Evaluation

Choosing the right air pollution control equipment is more than just finding a piece of equipment that can do the job. Operating costs, ease of use and maintenance requirements all enter into making the right decision. WCE’s experience in evaluating emissions control for both fixed facility and mobile sources can make the evaluation process easier and simplify the decision making process.
Technical Studies

Often the difference between having projects approved or denied rests on the results of an air quality impact analysis and evaluation of resulting health risk or impact of an ambient air quality standard. WCE is experienced with running a wide variety of air emissions and dispersion models. Our strength lies in evaluating options and developing alternate operation scenarios that meet project needs while complying with regulatory requirements.

Greenhouse Gas Emission Qualification

Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions are believed to be one of the leading causes of global warming. Regulations requiring reduction of GHG emissions are evolving and facilities that recognize this can get a head start by quantifying existing GHG emissions for establishing baseline conditions. This allows for recognition of current GHG emissions prior to regulations requiring their reduction. WCE staff is experienced in GHG emission quantification for a wide variety of processes. We have participated in first certification of GHG gases for an industrial source for the California Climate Action Registry, in conjuction with the California Energy Commission.
